In Response to Budget Cuts to Education Funding

"I am deeply concerned about your proposed cuts to K-12 public education funding and your proposal to shift higher education funding into the school aid fund.  Your proposals, along with an increase in the state mandated costs for retirement to school districts, will result in cuts of $700 per pupil.  These cuts are unacceptable and a detriment to providing outstanding educational programs for the children in our state."
