Convention Information

Every year, Michigan PTSA holds an annual convention.  Convention is a special time where PTA and PTSA representatives from all over the state of Michigan join with educators, administrators and community members to focus on improving the education, health and well being of children.

Learning & Sharing Sessions- During convention, Michigan PTSA makes available educational offerings in the following categories; communication, parenting, student learning, volunteering, advocacy and decision making and collaborating with the community.  These sessions are ideal opportunities to exchange ideas with other child advocates and learn about hot topics.

General Meetings- The business of the association is done during the General Meetings at convention.  Business may include but is not limited to electing state officers, approving association bylaws or governance issues and voting on resolutions which determine what Michigan PTSA’s position will be on current issues that impact children.

Networking opportunities- One of the most meaningful elements of the convention experience is the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with other people who care about children as much as you do.
