Internet Essentials will directly confront the barriers many face for in-home broadband adoption: affordability and lack of digital literacy.  Internet Essentials provides affordable internet service to households with children who receive free school lunches under the National School Lunch Program.

Families who participate in the program will receive the following:
     ♦Affordable internet service at $9.95/month + tax. No price increases, activation fees or
       equipment rental fees.
     ♦Opportunity to purchase a low cost computer for $149.99 + tax.
     ♦Free internet training.
